I had always been looking for a speargun with a flat barrel and pointy edge and the Alemanni Express Carbon 115 is exactly that! The rubbers are hidden in the body of the barrel and this eliminates any possible drag in manoeuvring the speargun.
In this video I go spearfishing for white groupers in the Aegean Sea, Greece with this speargun. I’ll show you one of my favorite ways to approach this deep and very difficult fish in the open water, the Dynamic Ambush technique.
Dynamic Ambush (DA) or stalking spearfishing technique, i.e., Agguato, is the most physically demanding spearfishing technique. Originally an Italian word, the ‘Agguato’ corresponds to the stalking technique where the spearo is moving slowly, crawling on the seabed surface by using only their free arm and negative buoyancy. The spearo needs to be well-prepared, both physically and mentally, for this challenging technique. Discretion is paramount. Moving slowly without noise or rough movements is the key.
If you are inspired to travel and spearfish all around the world and are also a fan of innovative yet accessible ideas, you should definitely visit the Alemanni’ s website below.
