Artificial reefs

Artificial reefs, either by accident or by purpose, (e.g. piled or scattered concrete and metal debris), have a special role in enhancing the physical complexity of featureless sand bottoms, in the way in which they attract a diverse assemblage of organisms, specifically algae and fish.

Shipwrecks are artificial reefs: wrecks with very high relief from the bottom, attract masses of bait as well as their predators, and are usually effective habitat for supporting numerous fish life, which makes them an unbeatable choice for spearos!
