The Pacific Red Snapper (Pargo Rojo)

The Pacific Red Snapper (Pargo Rojo) doesn’t disappoint. I had to try my hardest while diving murky wrecks and offshore reefs. I even crashed on to a humpback whale during one of my dives in the search for this beautiful and prized fish!

Pacific Red Snapper can be found inhabiting:

• Coral Reefs
• Offshore Reefs
• Ship Wrecks
• Sea Mounts

Pacific Red Snapper fish usually feed on:

• Shrimp
• Crustaceans
• Fish

Once speared, if not stoned, they put up a mighty fight. You can expect to have a tug of war due to their violent head-shakes once in a fight.
